Become a Preceptor at PRO+ Skin Academy

Are you a licensed esthetician who has a passion for teaching and helping others succeed in the field of esthetics? If so, we invite you to consider becoming a preceptor for PRO+ Skin Academy. As a preceptor, you’ll have the opportunity to share your expertise with future estheticians and help them gain the practical skills they need to succeed in their careers.

Going Beyond Tradition

It may feel like a lifetime ago but do you remember when you first graduated from esthetic school? How about the feeling of passing your state board exams and receiving your official license? The excitement, the joy and overall relief that your goal has been achieved! You were ready to take on the world!

And then the nervousness set in, where do I go from here? Do I want to work in a spa, a medical office, or a lash studio? Do I want to start my own business? The options are available but what environment is for me? I need a professional network. How do I find mentors?

In traditional esthetic schools, students practice their hands-on skills in mock clinics. At PRO+ Skin Academy we know all too well the transitional gap that exists between school and real-world application. We developed our esthetic program to help close the gap and better prepare our graduates. As licensed professionals, we understand the benefits and added knowledge obtained in the workplace, knowledge that cannot be taught in a classroom. This is why PRO+ Skin Academy is different, we want industry leaders, experienced professionals, and passionate estheticians to join us in mentoring and educating our future leaders.

Leading the Future

As a preceptor for PRO+ Skin Academy, you’ll be responsible for providing guidance of practical skills to our students. This includes demonstrating esthetic techniques, observing students as they perform these techniques, evaluating their work, and providing live feedback. PRO+ Skin Academy will partner with both you and your place of business in becoming a clinical site, allowing students a realistic learning experience that prepares them for the real world.

Becoming a preceptor has many benefits, both personal and professional. Not only will you have the satisfaction of helping others succeed, but you’ll also have the opportunity to further develop your own skills as an esthetician. Teaching others requires you to have a deep understanding of the subject matter, and you’ll find that as you teach, you can become an even better esthetician yourself.
